Welcome to my professional ePortfolio. I began my career in education before graduating from college. In the UTeach program at the University of Texas at Austin, I had field experience at the elementary and secondary grade levels. After student teaching and graduating, I continued my teaching career at Porter Middle School in south Austin teaching 7th grade mathematics. In my 6 years teaching at Porter I served as seventh grade team leader, math department chair, dance team director, and cheerleading coach. The next chapter in my teaching career began with opening Garcia Middle School in northeast Austin. I became the instructional coach for the math department after two years of teaching 7th and 8th grade. After 4 years in this position, I broadened my horizons even more and secured my current position as Mathematics Curriculum Technology Specialist for AISD.
